A couple of days ago somebody somewhere on the Internets mentioned that they were listening to – and loving – High Road, the new album by a band called The Grapes Of Wrath.
Suitably intrigued, I found one of new songs and had a listen. I liked what I heard.
The Grapes of Wrath – “Good To See You” (2013)
Considering how much that reminded me of songs from the ’80s, I must admit that I was surprised I enjoyed it.
Trivia: According to the omnipresent Wikipedia, The Grapes Of Wrath are a Canadian band that formed in 1983, and “enjoyed their greatest commercial success in the late 1980s and early 90s”.
High Road was released a couple of weeks ago, and is apparently the band’s first album since 2000’s Field Trip.
