Song of the day: Headless Chickens – "Cruise Control"

August 4, 2009

Here are the almost-Australian* Headless Chickens with “Cruise Control” (1991):

It’s not particularly power poppy – it has more of a Britpop vibe (think The Stone Roses‘ “Fools Gold”) – but a great tune’s a great tune.

(*Although they came from New Zealand and released singles in Australia, the Chooks were only ever mildy successful here. As a result, they weren’t automatically adopted, and so remained a Kiwi export.)
