Song of the day: Kate Miller-Heidke – "I’ll Change Your Mind"

OK, this isn’t exactly power pop, but it is Australian, and I like it, so here it is. (And I think I may have put too many commas in that sentence.)

This is a song about romantic delusion. (She wants him to want her back. He says “No way – you’re nuts.”)

I won’t put an MP3 of the song here because it’s extremely new and the artist in question is a member of a very large music corporation – the kind that likes suing people who put MP3s of their client’s songs on blogs.

Oh, and one more thing: there are two versions of the video, the one I like and the one I don’t. They’re both identical until the 2:39 mark, when the singer decides to remove her heart with a knife and present it to her ex-boyfriend. In the version I do like (the one I’ve put here), she presents him with a heart-shaped stuffed toy:
